Take the family to Wrigley for a Sunday outing April 26, 2010

The Cubbies go out of their way to make families feel welcome.  I’m sure I’ll have a few entries this summer with tips about taking little ones to the Friendly Confines.  If you’re thinking about visiting in the next few weeks, read on – this is very cool!

Every child’s dream is to run the bases and touch home plate at Wrigley Field. Now you can make this dream come true. The Chicago Cubs and the Ricketts Family are proud to present Family Sundays at Wrigley Field this Spring.

Purchase four tickets to any Sunday home game in April and May and each child, 15 and younger, will receive the opportunity to run the bases of the Friendly Confines following that day’s game (weather permitting).

Tickets are limited so act now for your chance to give your child the ultimate Cubs experience.

Kidical Mass! April 17, 2010

How cool is this?  Head on over to Giddings Plaza in Lincoln Square this morning with your bikes.  There is a mini bike ride that starts at 9:30 and goes until 11:00.  Great idea to get the kids out there moving and being a part of something fun!

More snow, perfect time for sledding! February 14, 2010

I apologize for being a few days late on this post.  Lots of snow still on the ground though.  I remember last year searching everywhere for a sled and had no luck.  I was in the Target on Peterson the other day and they still had a stack of sleds (pictured above) – less than $15 – this is similar to what we have for our two year old and I love it.

I know for sure that the Target on Elston is completely out of stock.  Good Luck and have fun!
